A Year in Review!
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m flabbergasted that 2015 is almost over. I swear it just started!
This year has been nothing short of incredible. The people. The experiences. The love. Officially becoming a Cleveland Photographer. All of it. We’ve worked a lot, we’ve learned a lot, and 2016 brings more opportunity to learn even more. I didn’t get to complete any of the dream shoots that well, I’ve been dreaming up, but that’s one of our goals for 2016.
Both Ciaran and I decided that we’re going to continue following the trend of the “non-resolution”. I mean honestly, resolutions are great when we keep them for 2-4 weeks after the new year begins…then we quit. We’ve all been there. So instead of resolutions, we make goals, but we don’t write them down in list format (well, at least I don’t.). Why? Sometimes, a list can be daunting. I know personally, if I have a particularly long list, I can get over-whelmed by feeling like it needs to get done ASAP when that’s not necessarily the case. But somewhere in my head, it has to be done NOW or it won’t get done. So I’ll be writing down goals that I think that I can have finished for every month this year. Just a little note in my planner/calendar and I’m good to go!
What are these goals? We’ve got the typical ‘work out more’ and ‘eat less sugar’ covered and something that we’re actively trying to do right now as I type this. Better health is always a goal, and after becoming vegetarian this year (No, I’m not going to bore you about how we’re vegetarian and why you should be too. It’s our choice and we did it for our own reasons.), we’ve already started on that goal. (Yeah jumpstarts!)
Another goal is blogging more. Oh how I’m bad at blogging on a regular basis! Can I manage to blog at least once a week? I have NO idea, but I’m certainly going to give it a good go. I also have a list of ‘dream shoots’ that I wan to work on completing this year, as well as making use of the studio more. Tattoos. Revamp packaging and get the website up to date. Goals; simple, to the point, without the stress of feeling like they need to be done immediately. You’ll hear no complaints from me!
Since tomorrow is New Years Eve, I wanted to share with you some of my favorites from this year. Because we’ve met so many wonderful people and taken so many wonderful photos, it would be impossible to share absolutely everything in one post without potentially breaking the internet for uploading so many photos, so here’s a few of my favorites.
Have a wonderful and safe New Year, lovelies! Here’s to all the amazing things to come in 2016 (its going to be amazing, I can just feel it).
